Power, reliability and productivity are the basic characteristics of Excel router, the line designed for large industries, third party manufacturers and all those businesses with their eye to an increasingly competitive market. The router line represents the ideal solution for all those problems relating to the production of solid wood furniture, kitchen units, office and bedroom furniture. It can also be used for specific machining operations requiring a high level of specialisation, when working with single, large, thick pieces. The level of customisation and the large number of models and configurations available make the whole range suitable for the widest variety of machining and productivity requirements. For greater versatility, router is also available with bar tables fitted with interchangeable jigs (ATS / EPS), the productivity of the router combines with the versatility typical of Biesse processing centres. The structure of the base is extremely rigid, to cope with the dynamic stress involved during the machining operations. The machine is offered with a doubled table so as to carry out loading operations during masked time, without slowing down the manufacturing process. router uses extremely powerful electrospindles, up to 13.5 kW if air-cooled and up to 15 kW if liquid-cooled. The router NC processing centre line is available with three different types of working unit.

The flat table, which is created directly by the working units, guarantees maximum precision when machining pieces of various shapes and sizes. The panel reference is set thanks to a combination of the rear stop, managed by the numerical control, and pneumatic stops that drop down under the table. The panels are locked in place using vacuum units of various sizes, which can be positioned as required on the table without the aid of dedication connections.
The flat table is used for all nesting operations, in which shapes are cut from a single panel. This method is employed when producing structural elements for settees and other types of upholstered furniture, kitchen cabinets and door units. The profile of each element in the unit is inscribed on the surface of the panel, and cut-off is reduced to a minimum thanks to the use of a cutting optimiser, thus increasing productivity. Nesting is also the ideal solution for specialised machining operations such as the production of furniture for boats and camper vans, where the spaces available are of a size and shape such that each single unit is made up of a large number of irregular pieces, which can all be obtained from a single panel.
router is available in version TC with a maximum number of 4 working units with 12 or 18 location chain type tool change device. When at maximum capacity, the machine can house up to 72 tools and aggregates. The chain type tool change magazine has 12 or 18 locations. The TC version guarantees maximum tool change speed, and is ideal for all those complex machining operations in which a large number of tools need to be changed with speed and precision.
In the TCR version, the working units are equipped with a revolver type tool change device to guarantee the best possible combination of productivity and versatility. This version with 4 working units with 10 location revolver type tool magazine gives excellent results for all types of panel machining operation.
router is available in EP configuration with a maximum of nine working units in line, to achieve maximum productivity when machining panels, doors and drawer units for kitchen and bathroom furniture. Using in line working units it is possible to machine up to 9 pieces simultaneously, the ideal solution for companies producing large numbers of modular elements.
The 5 axis operating section allows continuous, 360° machining, increasing speed and productivity. When combined with standard units, this unit can be used to avoid the need for aggregates, enabling even the most complex machining operations to be carried out.
