Panel squaring edgebanding machinery Before application of the banding material to straight profiles the panel is prepared and squared by the splinter remover, double chipper and mill units; panels with softformed edges are first treated with the double chipper, universal softforming mill and coplanar mill. Squaring and preparation are precise and rapid, for an edge with the highest possible quality of finish. Before moving on to the glue unit, the anti-adhesion unit applies a liquid to the top and bottom of the panel, thus facilitating removal of any residual adhesive.

The Glue Unit edgebanding machinery The BiesseEdge patented glue unit guarantees practical, fast glue bowl maintenance and cleaning. This BiesseEdge solution prevents any leakage of glue from the head when the machine is stopped, restricts overheating and considerably simplifies disconnection of the head during maintenance and cleaning operations. Using the BiesseEdge system the glue descends from the pre-melting unit directly into the bowl, where a sensor adjusts the amount present. The glue, which is maintained at a temperature of 190° in the bowl, is picked up and heated to a temperature of 220°. Using an endless screw the system collects a portion of the glue, which is spread, while any excess flows back into the glue bowl. Using the BiesseEdge method, the operator raises the glue spreader head and the pre-melting unit to facilitate removal of the bowl, In this way the operation takes between one and two minutes, and is totally safe, fast and practical.

edgebanding machinery EDGE-CONTROL SYSTEM Stream SB can be fitted with the Edge-Control system, an electromechanical device controlling the length of the banding material. The length of the banding material is adjusted directly during gluing, with a tolerance of +/- 2 millimetres. With this device it is possible to achieve higher productivity thanks to exclusion of the edge trimming unit, and it is also possible to achieve a saving in the amount of banding material required, while keeping the standard of quality high.

Presser devices Fast, precise application of the banding material takes place thanks to dedicated presser devices.

edgebanding machinery Finishing units Thanks to the construction technology used, the edge trimming unit cuts away excess material from the front and rear of the banding strip quickly and with precision. The units are fitted with an automatic device to tilt the motors from 0° to 25°. The rougher unit eliminates excess banding material on the top and bottom of the panel. After the rougher has been passed, the chamfer unit carries out finishing operations. Multiple radius units are available to process panels of various thickness.

The rounding unit applies the banding material to the final section of the panel, following the panel profile quickly and with great precision. The unit is available in two versions, with two automatically changed motors for greater tool change flexibility and practicality, and with 4 motors with quick change.

During the final stage, the edge scraper and glue scraper units perfect the result, before cleaning with swinging brushes and brightening of the banding material with the heater.
